How to Use — Spill Response Steps
- Step 1 — Stop the Source: Shut off equipment, close valves, or upright the container to stop further spillage where safe.
- Step 2 — Don PPE: Wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles before handling any spill materials or absorbents.
- Step 3 — Deploy Socks: Encircle the spill with all 3 absorbent socks to create a containment barrier and protect drains.
- Step 4 — Place Pillows: Insert absorbent pillows into sumps, under machinery, or into deeper pooled oil areas.
- Step 5 — Apply Pads: Lay absorbent pads across the spill surface, working from the outside inward to prevent spreading.
- Step 6 — Collect, Bag & Dispose: Fold used pads, socks, and pillows into the 3 disposable bags; seal with ties. Dispose as hazardous waste per local regulations.
Storage & Maintenance
