How to Use — Spill Response Steps
- Step 1 — Assess & Secure: Evaluate the size and nature of the spill. Don nitrile gloves and safety goggles before approaching the area. Warn and evacuate non-essential personnel. Identify and eliminate ignition sources if the spill involves flammable liquids.
- Step 2 — Stop the Source: Safely isolate the source of the spill by closing a valve, uprighting a container, or activating a site emergency shutoff. Reducing the volume of release before cleanup saves absorbent materials and time.
- Step 3 — Contain with Socks: Arrange the 3 absorbent socks around the perimeter of the spill to create a containment berm. This prevents the liquid from spreading, reaching floor drains, or entering stormwater systems.
- Step 4 — Use Pillows for Pooled Areas: Place absorbent pillows directly into sumps, pallets, or any areas where liquid has pooled deeply. Pillows provide high-volume absorption in confined spaces where flat pads cannot lie flat effectively.

Storage & Maintenance
